Fryette Power Station PS-2A

What an amazing device this is. essentially, it acts like a reactive load - attenuating your loud valve amp and then re-amps it into its own 50 Watt 6L6GC powered flat response valve amp plus it has an FX loop for your reverbs and delays. Perfect for that old Marshall head!

I bought this unit for my Rift 5E3 as it has an FX loop so I could add reverb to the amp but it has way more uses and when I bought my Friedman IR-D, initially to be put into the front end of a Twin Reverb, I realised another use the Fryette could be put to!

The Friedman is a dual valve pre-amp. The front end of a Twin Sister 40 Watt amp actually. So using this into the Line In of the PS-2A yields a compact and powerful solution.

I like the Tone King attenuators as they really hold up well to lower volumes and sound really natural but they don't have the FX loop option. It would be a great option for Tone King to add this actually. However, I heard great things about the Fryette and finally got one. It is indeed as good as they say. So useful really.

Watch the demo for the Rift Amps 5E3 to hear it in action and also in my Friedman IR-D demo I did below.
